Beagle Bay Community – Second Football Boots
North Beach Junior Football Club has been approached by one of our parents who will be travelling to the Beagle Bay community (just north of Broome) this Friday for work.
In discussions with the local school Principal, we have ascertained that the kids in the community are a little short on footy boots, particularly in the age range of 10-12 year olds.
NBJFC have gladly decided to donate the supplies we hold of second-hand boots, but we would love to be able to offer some more.
Do you have any old footy boots laying around at home that you would be happy to donate to this worthy cause
If so, are you able to drop them off at the home of Jody Cabalzar at 19 Milverton Ave Karrinyup. There will be a box near the front door for your donation.
Donations can be accepted up until this Thursday evening (16 May).
Thank you so much for your generosity.

Mother’s Day Round
Well done to all of our Auskickers for putting on a special Mothers Day round yesterday.
And a big thank you to all the parents for making it such a fun afternoon and especially to all the mums who competed in the Mother’s Day competitions. The bottles of wine proved to be strong incentives 😉
Auskick Superhero Round – This Week
That’s right! It’s time to get in shape, the Auskick Superhero Round is on its way.
The special Auskick event will take place this Sunday 19th of May, with all coaches, parents, coordinators and especially the players, invited to dress up as their favourite superhero. Don’t forget to bring a gold coin donation!
Join us this Sunday and support The Kids’ Cancer Project.

Girls Update Brought to you by Matera Electrical
Our 7/8 girls played a strong game against Scarborough on Friday tonight. Second round showed the team working together with some great defence and shepherding on display. Although Scarborough won, the NBFC girls showed they will be a force to reckoned with. Well done girls ☺
Our Girls Year 5/6 Gold team kicked off their season against Whitfords on Friday night. Was a terrific game with great tackling and handballing on display from all the girls. Our weekly award winners were Sana, Sharlize, Isabella and Olivia.
2019 Girls State Team
NBJFC would like to say a huge thank you to Kato Bosmans (Ex NBJFC AND Claremont player) and Bella Lewis (Subiaco player) for their assistant and guidance during preseason with our youth girls. Also a massive congratulations to both girls for being selected in the 2019 state team.

Year 3 Derby
Back on home ground, the much anticipated Year 3 Derby had the makings of a Mother’s Day mauling with Year 3 Gold kicking four goals to nil in the opening quarter. However, Year 3 Black clawed their way back into the game and finished with four goals of their own in the last quarter. The game was played in great spirit with the two teams coming together at the end of the game to sing the club song. Well done to the coaches, players and umpires on a great game befitting Mother’s Day.
Year 4s Friday Night @ CFC
Last Friday night our Year 4 teams played Marist at Claremont Oval under lights. It was an amazing night and all the boys and parents soaked up the atmosphere with smiles all round.
After the game, a large group made up of the 4 teams with a large contingent of family all met in the Tigers bar for drinks and dinner. It was fantastic seeing both North Beach and Swanbourne teams socialising as one and sharing stories.
Well done to all involved, the feedback on the conduct of our players and parents was outstanding to hear.
Year 6 Stinson Air Derby
On Mother’s Day the Year 6 Reds and Blacks played their first derby for 2019.
The game was named the ‘Stinson Air Derby Clash’ in recognition of the sponsorship and donations that Brad and Mel have given to the club over several years. Their son Jake plays for the Black team and Mel is the Team Manager.
The game was played on a glorious Sunday afternoon and was a fierce contest until the final siren. Players from both teams gave their utmost in an attempt to gain some sort of advantage. In the end the Reds came out on top but that didn’t matter as both teams walked away from yesterday’s game with big smiles on their faces knowing that they had put on a great game for families and spectators.

Without the generous support of our sponsors, we wouldn’t be able to provide such a terrific environment for our kids.
We are pleased to announce new sponsors to the club along with the continued commitment of current sponsors. Over the next 3 weeks, we will showcase our valued club sponsors. Please take the time to know who they are and support them when possible. A big thank you to Dean Kearns from Matera Electrical for taking on the Sponsorship Coordinator this year.
